Open Play Cancellation Policy

We understand in life, sometimes unexpected commitments come up. We ask that you please cancel no less than 12 hours before the start time of your reserved play session.  

If a caregiver or child is sick, showing signs of sickness, or has been sick within the past 24 hours - We provide a complimentary 30-day reschedule window due to illness. 

To do so, you must email your re-schedule request to Sam@paperbackplayhouse.com BEFORE the scheduled start time. If your session is the first of the day, you must email us 1 hour before the scheduled play period. We do not process reschedule requests via phone. 

If you no call/no show to a scheduled play session, you will NOT be able to reschedule.

  • What is your target Paperback Playhouse audience?

    Paperback Playhouse was designed to meet the educational and developmental needs of children ages 6 months through 8 years.

    Children 8 years of age and under are welcome to play in our designated play spaces. Exceptions will only be made on a case by case basis at the discretion of management. Please reach out via email prior to visiting with any questions or concerns.

  • Is reserving a spot online required?

    Nope, we will happily accept walk-ins if we have openings. But we do have a maximum occupancy that can not be exceeded. So, we HIGHLY recommend that you reserve a spot online to guarantee space for your kiddo/s in the play area.

  • Are strollers allowed in the play areas?

    In order to allow as many friends to play as possible, we do not allow strollers in our playhouse. Please contact us if you need special accommodations and we will do our best to help.

  • How often do you clean?

    We clean all tables and toys between each session as well as after our last session.

    We use nontoxic products. Complimentary hand sanitizer will be available at all times.

  • Do I have to pay for adults or children 9 years and up?

    We welcome two adult caregivers ( 18 yrs or older) per family for free.  If there are additional adults who would like to join, they are welcome but need to pay a $5 admission fee per adult.

    Siblings over 8 yrs of age are welcome to visit but will each need to pay a $5 admission fee as well. Only children 8 years and under are invited to play in our designated play spaces. But we do have an activity shelf for caregiver and older sibling use.

    Please include ALL adults and children visiting when reserving a session online.

    We hope you will be understanding of our caregiver policy. Each additional adult and sibling over 8 yrs limits our total capacity and the number of children under 8 yrs we can comfortably allow to play in our space.

REMINDERS:

We are a SHOE FREE facility. We require socks to be worn by ALL individuals in attendance (adults included). We highly recommend grip socks for children. Socks are available to purchase for a small fee. If you are unable to or uncomfortable removing shoes please request shoe covers.

We are a CASH FREE facility. Please bring a debit/credit card for retail, snack, or sock purchases. If this is an issue please reach out via email prior to reserving a session.

Paperback Playhouse prioritizes the health and safety of our guests and team. We request that you stay home if any adult or child in your reservation is currently sick or showing symptoms of illness (including cough and runny nose). We ask that all visitors are symptom-free for no less than 24-hours before returning. *See cancellation policy at top of page for more info.
